These features make it possible to achieve a high ratio of the electron emission current from the plasma to the discharge current as a result of the so-called "switching" mode of the discharge component of the electron current to the collector. Electron beams, ion beams and plasma sources: technology and application	Selected ion and plasma sources	The principle of operation, design features are described, and the parameters and characteristics of some ion sources that are used to modify materials are presented. Electromagnetic compatibility	UAV and counter UAV techniques	UAV are becoming smaller, smarter and cheaper to manufacture and they have reached a level at which we can consider them as a threat. This threat must be dealt with by security systems, which with all the advancing technology, there is no fully effective defense system, where the type and extent of mitigation techniques depend on the environment and situation. Besides the effectiveness issue there is the fact that the UAV technology itself is not standing still. The counter-UAV market will therefore have to constantly respond to new advances in UAV’s technology. There are no standards for ensuring the performance and reliability of the C-UAV system so they might present a public safety threat like interference with emergency radio communications, or like missing the intended target by a kinetic system.	2H	Assist. Microwave engineering (circuits and modeling)	Combining the partial-capacitance and the conformal mapping techniques for analysis of the multiconductor microstrip lines	The partial-capacitance and conformal mapping techniques are applied for modeling of the open multiconductor microstrip lines of finite thickness. To build novel model, the concept of magnetic slits is introduced, which allows the cross-section multiple connected regions to reduce into the simple connected region. The obtained polygonal region is conformal mapped by analytical Schwarz–Christoffel transformation, which is implemented in the form of computer numerical procedures. New technique is realized in MATLAB and has high computationally effectiveness, accuracy sufficient for practice, and allows easy visualization of the electric field distribution.	1H	Prof. Aleksandr SYCHEV

Microwave engineering (circuits and modeling)	Analog phase shifter of X-band implemented with novel trans-directional coupled-line coupler	Novel reflection-type phase shifter based on trans-directional (TRD) coupled-line coupler with DC isolation of the RF and control paths is proposed. The coupler design is realized in the 3-D vertically installed planar circuit without traditional shunt capacitors. An analogue phase shifter based on TRD coupler is implemented in X-band.
